Eliav graduated from Tel Aviv University (B.Sc., Physics, 1990; LL.B., 1995), became a registered Patent Attorney in 1993, and was admitted to the Israeli bar in 1997, where after in 1998 he became founding partner at Korakh & Co. Throughout the years, in parallel Eliav served in the Israeli Defense Forces mainly in the field of computer system analysis applying as well as enhancing his knowledge.
Eliav’s fields of practice include Intellectual Property Law, Patent and Trademark Prosecution, predominantly directed towards US and international practices. In particular expertise in the fields of: Computer Hardware & Software, Tele-Communications, Optics, Applied Mathematics & Physics, Electronics and Medical Devices.
Among several other activities, Eliav lectures in the field of Technological Intellectual Property Management. Eliav serves as an adjunct lecturer for the William Davidson Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Furthermore Eliav is a lecturer at the Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration in the MBA program for Management of Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Tel-Aviv University.

Karni graduated in 2008 from Sha’arei-Mishpat Law College, Israel (LL.B.) with honors, performed her internship from 2007-2009 at leading law firm specializing in Capital Markets, International Transactions, M&A’s, hi-tech and bio-tech fields and was admitted to the Israeli bar in 2009.
Karni joined Korakh & Co. in 2010, working on a variety of cases, specializing in prosecution of IL applications of patents & designs.
Previous to Karni’s studying, Karni served for 3 years in the IDF as personnel and reserve officer (doctors) management and was discharged Lieutenant rank. Furthermore as a military reserve Captain, Karni volunteers in providing pro-bono legal advice and other required aid to any soldier and/or their families. In addition, Karni fulfills the strenuous task as a casualty officer. This role involves informing families of killed or seriously injured soldiers or reserves of their injury or death during military service.
Karni contributes greatly to both society as well as the Korakh & Co. team bringing in her high working standard, meticulousness and great enthusiasm for the patent field.
Karni is Member of the Israel Bar Association and speaks Hebrew and English.
Britt Hackmon

With almost seven years of experience as a paralegal in her background, Britt joined the team of Korakh & Co. during 2011 as a legal intern and dived into the fascinating worlds of Litigation, IP Law, High-Tech Law, Contract Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, M&A’s and Labor Law.
After passing the Israel Bar Association exams with flying colors in 2012, Britt returned to Korakh & Co. as an Attorney-at-Law to practice the variety of legal fields Korakh & Co. offers its clients, and ever since then, she has had brought in her sharp, attentive, fastidious and effective manner into the various cases she has handled, which are a great value to both the clients as well as the team.
In her free time, Britt enjoys reading, painting and cooking.

Lilach Goldman

Lilach graduated in 1992 from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology. Lilach also studied for M.Sc. in Microbiology in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Prior to becoming a certified Patent Attorney in 2000, Lilach worked for four years as a Biotechnology Patent Examiner in the Israel Patent Office (ILPO). Lilach performed patent searches, decided on patentability of applications, issued office actions and communicated with applicants’ counsels thereafter. Furthermore, Lilach advised the Commissioner of Patents in patent opposition and cancellation matters in the field of Biotechnology.
Upon admission as a Patent Attorney in 2000, and before joining Korakh & Co. in 2018, Lilach worked as a Patent Attorney in one of the top well-respected law firms in Israel, for a period of 18 years, advising, inter alia, to Pharmaceutical and Life Science companies, University R&D centers, start-ups and technology companies working primarily in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biology and biotechnology.
Lilach brings to her practice over 20 years of experience, with practical expertise that encompasses handling complex matters.
Lilach’s areas of practice include, among others, Intellectual Property, prosecution of patent applications before the ILPO, filing and handling PCT national phase applications, including office action practice and patent searching in all aspects of the biotech area, with a particular focus on Biotechnology, Pharmacology, and Chemistry. Jonathan graduated from McGill University, Canada in 2003 (B.Sc. Physics & Computer Science) and joined Korakh & Co. in 2004, becoming a registered Israeli patent attorney in 2006.
Prior to joining Korakh & Co., Jonathan worked as a research assistant for Prof. Paul Wiseman at McGill University in the field of ICS (image correlation spectroscopy).
Jonathan’s fields of practice include intellectual property, patent prosecution, preparation of opinions – FTO (Freedom-To-Operate), patentability and participating in litigation teams (oppositions and appeals), predominantly directed towards US, European and international practices. He has particular expertise in the fields of: computer hardware and software, telecommunications, optics, applied mathematics, electronics, mechanics and medical devices.
In his free time Jonathan enjoys playing music, performing magic, making wine and teaching Krav Maga.

Tamar Korakh

Tamar, after her discharge in 1990 from the Israeli workforce automation center in the army at a computer unit, graduated in 1993 from Tel Aviv University with a degree of Bachelor of Science, and at 1995 with a degree of Masters in Science with honors, both in the field of Life Sciences (Biology). Tamar also served as a researcher in Bar-Ilan University for 5 more years, in the field of Molecular Biology. Tamar became a registered Patent Attorney in 2003, and a member at the Israel Patent Attorneys Association.
Tamar joined Korakh & Co. in 2015.
Previous to joining the firm, Tamar gained experience as a patent attorney at two out of the top-tier IP firms in Israel.
Tamar brings to her practice over 16 years of experience, and along with her knowledge, precise outlook and pleasant personality, she offers the highest standard of services to Korakh & Co.’s team as well as clients.

Nili graduated, with distinction, from the Carleton University, Canada in 1989 (B.Eng. Computers and Systems Engineering).
Nili’s professional experience spans from high-tech – working as a systems analyst at Bell Northern Research, Canada, to finance – having developed models for risk analysis at J.P. Morgan, NY.
Nili began her career in patent law in 2007 at a boutique IP firm, and obtained her Israeli patent attorney license in 2014 while working at one of the leading Israeli IP firms, where she headed the hardware/electro-optics division.
Nili joined Korakh & Co. in 2016, and her main practice is Intellectual Property Law and patent prosecution, especially in computer-related technology including both software and hardware, as well as in the areas of electro-optics and mechanics.
Nili has extensive experience in prosecuting and obtaining software patents in the U.S. in light of recent legal developments.
Currently, Nili also attends law school in Tel-Aviv University.
Outside of work, Nili is an accomplished pianist who enjoys performing for local fundraising events, and a recreational athlete, competing in local triathlons and marathons.
